Writing Assistance and Rewriting

“The single most common mistake I find in the manuscripts I edit,
including the work of professionals, are words, phrases,
clauses, sentences, and paragraphs in the wrong order.”
Sol Stein

"Books are not written—they're rewritten."
Michael Crichton

The days of a strong hand are over in many publishing houses... writers no longer can expect much if any help from an editorial staff. Reviewers are commenting on the lack of good editing from royalty houses. And in the self-publishing field, poorly edited works are commonplace.

If it’s going to get done, it’s up to the author to turn in a polished manuscript.

Unfortunately, a good writer isn’t necessarily a good editor. Writers frequently need professional help to recognize and correct problems with format, plot, dialogue, characterization, and other elements line by line.

Logos Word Designs offers page-by-page writing and rewriting assistance to help you develop and strengthen your unique voice. Our hands-on suggestions can help you achieve the clarity, power, and readability your writing deserves.

Writing support does not have to involve rewriting. You may choose simply to discuss your ideas. Or utilize our other services, such as critiquing or content editing.

Before launching into extensive rewriting, we strongly recommend a critique and evaluation of your work to pinpoint problem areas in advance. This will save you money, work, and time in the long run.
