Richard and Linda have presented a wide variety of classes, workshops, and seminars individually and together since 1987. Although their specialty is teaching Christians to understand and discern New Age influences, they also apply the Bible and the lessons of church history to a wide variety of contemporary topics, concerns, and movements. Richard Nathan holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Oregon in Eugene and an M.A. in Religion in Church History from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry, Ambridge, PA. Richard has been working in the mental health field since 1990, serving clients ranging from the developmentally disabled to the chemically addicted to the psychotic. He has studied the current mental health climate extensively from a Biblical point of view and taught classes to Christians on discerning the trends. He was the theological consultant for The Dark Side of Karate, frequently provides theological analysis and background for author Berit Kjos’s articles, and his own article, “Recovering the Scandal of Liberalism: Disdaining the Cross,” recently appeared online at http://www.crossroad.to/articles2/04/scandal-cross.htm.
