ABOUT LOGOS WORD DESIGNS, INC.

Linda Nathan has been providing a wide variety of writing, editing, and consultation services to diverse clients in the academic, business, and publishing world since 1969. She has owned businesses in Eugene, Oregon and Palo Alto, California.

Richard and Linda NathanLogos Word Designs, Inc. In 1992, Linda founded Logos Word Designs in beautiful Whatcom County, Washington where she lives with her husband, Richard, and their cat, Catrina, in the foothills near Mount Baker. (Yes, that’s our mountain on this Web site!)

Linda offers her clients over 30 years of combined professional experience in academia, administration and management, arts and entertainment, Christian ministry, desktop publishing and graphic design, education, fiction and nonfiction projects, general business, health and social sciences, journalism, law, publicity and promotion, public speaking, résumé counseling and preparation, and teaching.

Law, Academia, and Business. Linda’s legal background includes nearly 10 years of experience in positions as a legal secretary, paralegal, and notary public in nearly every major area of law. In addition to obtaining her B.A. in Psychology, Linda did graduate work in Interdisciplinary Studies, was a research assistant to a social psychology professor, and typed manuscripts part-time for four years at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford, California, a private post-doctoral institution. She also has freelanced for a wide variety of businesses over the years, handling everything from newsletter design and content to legal documents.

Arts and Entertainment. For 8 years, Linda was the editor of Northwest Events & Lifestyle Review, the region’s largest and only award-winning arts and entertainment news magazine that reached over 45,000 readers from Vancouver, B.C. through Skagit County, Washington. She also was the editor of View ’95, the alumni magazine of the College of Fine and Performing Arts at Western Washington University, Bellingham, Washington.

Résumés. Linda first learned the art of résumés from her work for a San Francisco management consulting firm and has kept on top of trends for her many résumé clients over the years.

Published Author. In addition to numerous articles, Linda wrote The Dark Side of Karate in collaboration with Tonie Gatlin, formerly one of the nation’s top women karate experts. This fast-paced, gripping book follows the dynamic rise and fall of Tonie’s meteoric career and combines it with an in-depth Biblical analysis of the occult aspects of the martial arts. It has been called “a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the darkness that pervades the world of karate ... a riveting testimony … a must read …”

Christian Services. Richard and Linda Nathan provide special in-depth consultation to Christian writers about fiction and nonfiction projects, theological veracity, and historical accuracy and ambiance.
